I’m Marta Pinto, founder of AI goes to school
I was a teacher and a researcher, and for over 20 years I have worked in education and technology. I created AI goes to school to help schools, teachers and students adopt Artificial Intelligence in a responsible, critical and ethical way.
My path crosses three worlds. I taught Visual and Technological Education in middle school, worked as a researcher in education and educational technology and, later, led training and professional development in IT companies. Classroom, research and technology: I had to go through all three to understand what is missing when we talk about AI in education.
AI goes to school was born from experience and from the conviction that AI is a technology that transforms societies, and therefore schools, but that it is in the relationship between teachers and students that learning and empowerment happen. It is essential to support teachers and students in understanding AI, its limits and possibilities, and above all in imagining and preparing for their active role in shaping the future with AI as informed, engaged citizens.
